π¬ How I checked what Ubersuggest gives for free
I went through every page where Ubersuggest talks about free access: the pricing page, the help articles on the free account, the trial and the lifetime plans. Then I ran a search signed out to see what a visitor really gets. Every limit and price below was checked on Ubersuggest's official pages on November 6, 2026. Two things to know: the free limits come from a help article last updated in July 2025, the most recent one I found, and I did not open a new account to test them. ChatSEO appears near the end because it is the tool I co-founded: it is paid, with a trial, and I say so.
My take after years of SEO for clients: Ubersuggest's free account is good for checking one idea, not for doing keyword research. If the site is yours, Google Search Console will teach you more for $0.

π The 3 ways to use Ubersuggest for free
1. Without an account: one search, then a wall
Signed out, the app calls itself "Ubersuggest's Unregistered Version with 1 Search". I searched for "seo tools" and a sign-up window opened on top of the results, promising 341 keyword suggestions behind it.
It tells you the tool exists and little else. Skip this and go straight to the free account if you want to see real data.
2. The free account: 3 searches a day
The account is created when you register with an email, and it has no time limit. Here is what Ubersuggest's help center lists for it:
- 3 searches or reports a day
- 1 project, with 1 location and 25 tracked keywords updated weekly, on desktop only
- Site Audit limited to 150 pages, weekly, with no manual recrawl
- Up to 100 backlinks per site
- No historical data in traffic reports
- 3 keyword lists of 30 keywords at most
- AI Writer: 2,000 words, 5 searches a day and 1 saved document
- Chrome extension: 40 searches a day, counted apart
Three searches is enough to check whether a topic is worth a closer look. It is not enough to build a list of keywords, since a single topic usually takes more than three lookups.
3. Google Search Console: the free data Ubersuggest cannot see
Search Console shows your real clicks, impressions and positions for every query, with 16 months of history. It is free and it has no daily search limit. It only covers sites you own, so it will not replace competitor research. For your own site, it beats any estimate.

Yes: 7 days, once, on monthly plans only. It gives full access to the plan you pick, it asks for a valid payment method and it charges you automatically unless you cancel in Account & Billing. Ubersuggest also says subscriptions are non-refundable once processed, so note the date. If you cancel, you go back to the free account.
The part that catches people out is the price itself. Ubersuggest's help center says its prices are geolocated, based on your IP address. From Hungary, I was shown these prices:

The same page has a strip comparing Ubersuggest with its rivals, and it lists US$29 to US$99. That is why you will read both $12 and $29 online, including on older pages of this blog. Open the pricing page from where you pay and trust that number.
The lifetime plan was sold as a "limited offer" with a countdown when I checked. It has no trial, the purchase is final and it has lower monthly credits than the same subscription on the Individual plan (200 against 250).
